Happy Met Monday to all who celebrate! That’s right, the day has finally arrived for the 2025 Met Gala. In a mere few hours, a plethora of the world’s finest (from the world of fashion, entertainment, and beyond) will descend upon The Metropolitan Museum of Art for what is now largely considered fashion’s splashiest night of the year. To commemorate such an occasion, we\u2019re joining the watch party. Right here on theFashionSpot, you can watch the 2025 Met Gala red carpet live \u2013 all thanks to Vogue<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year’s highly anticipated \u201cSuperfine: Tailoring Black Style<\/a>” exhibit is expected to examine \u201cthe importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.\u201d The exhibit curated by Andrew Bolton will focus exclusively on menswear \u2013 the first since 2003. Monica Miller (Professor and Chair of Africana Studies at Barnard College, Columbia University) will serve as guest curator, as Miller\u2019s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism<\/em> and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity<\/em> served as inspiration. The exhibition will centre around the theme of Black Dandyism. The concept points to a style of dress adopted by enslaved Black men in the Americas and Europe from the 18th century to the present day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
