Anna Wintour stays true to herself as editor-in-chief of Vogue<\/em>. After all, with Wintour at the helm (a position she’s kept a tight grip on since 1988), we have come to expect a mix of old and new favorites on the American fashion bible’s front covers. Thus far, a selection of new faces (including Sabrina Carpenter<\/a> and Angel Reese<\/a>) have graced the title throughout 2025. The release of the April 2025 issue sees Wintour welcome Gigi Hadid back onto the cover of Vogue <\/em>– for the sixth time. The American model poses for famed photographer Annie Leibovitz for the occasion, complete with Alex Harrington on styling duties. In the commanding cover photograph, Hadid strikes a pose and gazes down Leibovitz’s masterful lens dressed in a look from Alessandro Michele’s Spring 2025<\/a> Valentino collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Here I was opening the thread hoping to see something sunny and vibrant with a model like Gigi, and instead we have this. What a horrible cover,” shrieked LastNight<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Gigi Hadid? Yawn,” sighed forum member Summer Day<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“There are other models other than those nepo babies, you know,” oaklee91<\/a> declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing the same underwhelming sentiments was Serend1pity<\/a>. “Everyone has moved on from Gigi Hadid bar Anna – the woman is stuck in 2016. People want to see Vittoria Ceretti, Anok Yai, Alex Consani etc!” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet not everyone felt the same way. “I like this cover very much! It feels lush, in terms of coloring, photography, and lighting (and I’m not even a Leibovitz fan). The cover overall feels very fashion and full of drama. Quite a strong strong and commanding cover – it’s got presence,” voiced vogue28<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I like the cover because it does not look like it was shot by Leibovitz. I like the color scheme and Gigi looks good,” echoed MModa<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
